Business Continuity

More than 40 per cent of businesses affected by the Manchester bombing went out of business, never to return.

How quickly and painlessly you manage to get back to business as usual in the event of a terrorist attack, fire, flood or other natural disaster, or any other major interruption, depends on how effectively you can devise, and put into action, your own business continuity management.

A Quote from the Home Office Website

Businesses are being encouraged, through central and local government, to develop Business Continuity plans and strategies. For "Big Business" business continuity management has been practiced for several years. For small business it is as important, if not more. A "disaster" might damage a large business but it might put a small one out of business with consequential damage to employers and employees. Chromedata are tailoring training courses and services specifically for the small to medium businesses.

What do we do?

Chromedata have a specialist in Business Continuity advisor who can help you develop your own plan. This in a number of ways:

  1. A 1 hour taster session designed to give an overview of what needs to be considered when creating a plan.

  2. A 1 day course that examines some of the recommendations from the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and the British Standards Institute (BSI) BS25999 Business Continuity Management and how it might be applied to smaller businesses. Specifically we look at how you can analyse your business to look at the assets and processes that are of great value and need protecting.

  3. Onsite consultancy to help staff to examine your business and develop and in-house plan

  4. Run, record and analyse a disaster simulation to test out your plan. It doesn't work unless you test it

We will be running some of the sessions as part of "public seminars" later in the year. These will be posted in the "News and Events" section of the website.
